The Revenant’s Crown

My entry that managed to creep into 13crownsstudio’s GhostBook!

There’s symbolism here, but the gist of the story behind the piece is pretty simple. Tradition states those who die unnatural deaths in Rashun are doomed to ever wander the lands as ghosts. Nurasua’s goal in life is to change this aspect and free her eldest sister from such a cycle.

Mah pretties, due to the new book turning into such a pretty thing, Lu and I have decided to make more booksies than we had planned in the beginning, and adding some copies in English as well. Because it totally deserves it, I mean, it´s such a cutie little bookling and everyone involved is so amazing o.o!

Because of this, we are giving crowdfunding a chance, to help harness the Ev0l Printing Expenses. In case you want to collaborate with us and pre-order the bookling -or get any of the zillion rewards that are available-, this is the link. I thiiink the site isn´t translating all the descriptions and rewards to English just yet, but we´ve already contacted Ideame to see what can be done about it (If they can´t fix it, I guess I´ll translate them here o.O. *A few tiers didn’t translate for some reason, but the info graphic lists everything in English when you switch languages. Just be aware the monetary unit used in the graphic is ARS and not USD. ;>

The preview promo for my cards for Viceroy’s Carnival set. The dark yellow/gold colour is actually iridescent watercolour, so it is very shiny. ♥

I went with the idea of an all-female troupe and had way too much fun thinking of their stories while I drew these. I’ll post some of my favourites later on when I get an all-clear from the company!

Sheesh. Everytime I see your art I get all adlfkgjadofigjadlfgkjaodfiuagldfkgdf;lam!!!!! D: SO GOOD! *cries in a corner* SO GOOOOOOD!!! (I hope you realize how awesome you are. :) ).

I’ve been pretty down the past few days, so this made me cry in a good way. Thank you so much for always being supportive (of EVERYONE, by the way, you’re such a sweet person)! No more crying, though, let’s have fun making art instead. ♥

oh hnnnnnng your traditionally inked stuff must be gorgeous to see in person * ^ *

The main problem with the inked stuff is there is an odd texture in the black-filled areas. I’m not sure if it’s a general ink thing or the type I use. (I need to do a general “GIVE ME INK RECS THAT ARE COPIC-PROOF OR WATERPROOF OR BOTH [HOW???]!” post.) There’s also the streaks with the filled in areas, but those are easily smoothed out in PS/whateverprogramIclickedon. In general, however, my inked pieces are pretty much the only ones I can get to look correct on the computer. All my colour work definitely looks better in the paper.

My desk earlier today. The inks for one illo are done outside of general tinkering before I scan it. There is always more inking with the comic. Let us not speak of the second illustration, for we are now in a stand-off where I hold it over a paper shredder and it spits ink at me.

Psychopomp WIPs everywhere! I don’t know what possessed me to do a fur-stand-in + a long, elaborate hairstyle in one story, but I am glad it did. Even if I am still inking Erna’s hair in the one illo.

My 3-page comic is not really erotica, it is just plain weird, as mythology is wont to do.

Just to further broadcast the fact, at the moment Amazon is offering the “Apéritif” episode of Hannibal for free on Amazon Instant Video (in HD to boot). Hulu can only show five episodes at one time, and NBC has already pulled “Apéritif” from their menu, so this is a way for those wanting to watch the show from the beginning to do so!
