Guys, guys, yesterday was awesome and kind of made up for Monday, which sucked, to put it mildly.

I also had the biggest urge to just drop everything and re-watch Twelve Kingdoms yesterday, despite it being Preakness day. Youko, why were you basically tailor-made to make me want to draw you 24/7. I also need to draw Rakushun more, because he’s so. freaking. adorable.

This art blog needs some art! Here’s a (now old) WIP of a contest entry I’m working on.

The thought process behind this pretty much went as follows: Dreams! —> Sandman? —> Eels carry dreams, which the dream giver selects from and doles out to sleeping minds. —> Wings! Wings are fun. —> Wait, is this an angel, am I drawing angels again? —> I need Madonna lily references. —> Why is it suddenly 2 a.m. and my mind brimming with plot bunnies.

J.L. and I are now on season five of Supernatural~. I can’t wait to see the rest of the Horsemen’s cars. I have priorities.

Happy late National Polar Bear Puppy Day?

I am waiting until LoK premieres on t.v., so I can make my mom watch it and fangirl over it like we do with Clone Wars.* She kind of missed A:TLA, but Korra seems more up her alley. I foresee much girl!crushing.

*Yes, that’s right. My mom’s awesome.

A wip and some details of a large ink drawing I’m in the middle of mapping out. This is basically an excuse to dump lots of things I like into one picture, like mouse-birds and lizards?

I’ve been a bit down on the art side of things and working on writing and world-building instead. Rashun is a bit odd in that it has multiple sun goddesses (this is a problem when gods are allowed to roam space without borders, apparently). Nara’s one of the older figures from the north. She does not like bears.

It’s really weird sketching Rajshri smiling, because she’s just a character who doesn’t genuinely smile a lot. This image technically has story spoilers, but only I know this, so it doesn’t really count, right? Right.
