I am too busy to make celebration fan art, so have some sketches of stuff I will work on when things let up a bit on the project front. P.S. I was mad at Zeller for being a jerk to Will so he got a major time-out from Team Sassy Science pictures. /not sorry.

Testing out some ideas for my piece for the “Beautiful Forever” show. Fire foxes for the sun goddess from earlier. ♥

Sketch Saturday sounds good to me!

1. First in the line-up is the deer girl from Christmas. I’m debating if I want to have her replace the old design for Masja or not, but she keeps popping up in my sketches, so I will have to do something about her. The rest are ideas for a project I’m working on for close friends. I need to find my dratted hole punch, but it hides too well. [That or my room is a miniature Galactus.]

2. Rajshri vs Rajshri. She gets a hair-cut when she works in Avonte the first time.

Trying to sketch out an idea, but I’m not managing to get the composition right. So, have a messy detail from what I did put down. *goes back to the drawing board*

Also, have a wip of Bolin and Pabu. I’m not sure when I’ll finish it.

Again, the sketches aren’t in order.

1 - I’m apparently making some weird fairytale Utena AU poster. I don’t ask my brain questions anymore. Kind of Sleeping Beauty/Sword in the Stone/etc. type of thing.

2 - More colour studies i.e. I have some semblance of a social life!

3 - And another one that ended up looking like a landscape.

4 - Fausta Jessen meeting Nimra for the first time. I want to make a drawing of the creature that gargoyle is of now.

5- Read a bit about how Sargent painted and my brain went all “YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS.” Apparently it meant drawing Dean from memory.  [(° ¸°)]

6 - I’ve been mentally poking at the history of the world of Avonte. Taika’s always been biracial in my head, but that requires some tinkering with the exact spheres of influence certain empires hold.

7 - I need to finish reading that .pdf on Sargent’s way of painting.

8 - I decided for the last week of Sketchvember, I’m going to work with random five-colour palettes. It’s been forever since I’ve drawn Pura, geez.

So, a Sketchvember update. They’ve grown progressively sketchier, so I’m going to blame some health problemas on it (nothing major, just super annoying/tiring). They’re not in dated order, so I’ll do something at the end of the month where they are.

1 - Anymore, all of my computer work starts out as background paintings like these. Some are more complex, some more simple, it just depends on the colours that are calling to my brain on a given day. These three were days when something came up that prevented me from making a full illutweet. They’re very relaxing to make, though.

2 - I want to return to this one later and flesh out the bg more. You know someone has been watching to much SPN when everyone suddenly starts using blood to summon purgatorial things.

3 - I really need to make a comic or something with these morons. I also want to find a calligraphy book and just do that all day.

4 - Rajshri and Utashiro being dorky BFFs. RAINBOWS FOR ALL. This is actually two days’ illutweets smushed into one.

5 - Really have no idea on this one, the background just… made it into this weird thing? This and the one above are both postcard size*, so they’re still pretty rough since the normal ones are just trading card size. I’m looking forward to finishing them and having some neat prints, tho. :>

*LIES AND SLANDER. Not really, J.L. agreed with the idea of making it tabloid size. Pardon me while I disappear into detail-never-neverland for a while.

I’m doing sketchvember, although the Rajshri pic was made on Halloween. (I’m open to suggestions if anyone wants to throw some at me!)

I wanted to give a big giant “Thank You! ♥” to everyone who stopped by lastlabyrinth’s and my table at FANdom and commented on our work, chatted for a bit, and/or bought things! It was a lot of fun on top of being our first time in the AA, and I’d like to try another con when I’m able. My only regrets were I was pretty brain dead despite appearances and I didn’t get to poke around at what my fellow artists had up. Next time! >8D It was a lot of fun talking with friends I haven’t seen in years and hopefully talking with new ones. :)

I’m not dead, but I am rather busy right now? Most of it involves getting stuff ready for FAN:dom with lastlabyrinth and a gallery that will start carrying my work, both occurring in October. What a month it’ll be! 

Illutweet time!

1 - This is the roughest paint sketch of Nimra you’ll ever see, haha. She’s likely plotting her next forray into the exciting field of archaeological reclamation.

2 - Feara from the livestream! I still have to figure out a few things, but thanks so much to Parakavka for suggesting Fe to draw. I worked on it a bit after the livestream finished, and will probably go back and work on it some more.

3 - Rajshri pretending to be a guy in the capital of Avonte. I need to go back and finish this one up, too.
