A typical day for Rajshri in Avonte.

• 1400-1500: Rajshri suffers again from Tsune’s inability to give directions. It’s always the bad parts of town, too.

• 1500-1600: Collecting her thoughts while still lost.

• 1600-1700: Finding her way home, Rajshri greets Tsune and Utashiro.  

• 1700-1800: The afternoon coffee break reveals yet another dinner party to suffer through.

• 1800-1900: One nap to rule them all.

• 1900-2000: Drop Tsune off to go skulk in the alleys for clues on the case while pretend to enjoy upper class society.

• 2000-2330: Dear Grigori Tarasov,

                        Stop. Talking. To—Oh, no, you have clues, I guess you can talk to me after all.

• 2330-0000: Pick up Tsune from alley, check for parasites, make way home and discuss potential leads.

I’m going to have to do this again soon. Warts and all, I found these a lot fun to draw. ♥♥♥THANK YOU, LOVELY LADY.♥♥♥

So, a Sketchvember update. They’ve grown progressively sketchier, so I’m going to blame some health problemas on it (nothing major, just super annoying/tiring). They’re not in dated order, so I’ll do something at the end of the month where they are.

1 - Anymore, all of my computer work starts out as background paintings like these. Some are more complex, some more simple, it just depends on the colours that are calling to my brain on a given day. These three were days when something came up that prevented me from making a full illutweet. They’re very relaxing to make, though.

2 - I want to return to this one later and flesh out the bg more. You know someone has been watching to much SPN when everyone suddenly starts using blood to summon purgatorial things.

3 - I really need to make a comic or something with these morons. I also want to find a calligraphy book and just do that all day.

4 - Rajshri and Utashiro being dorky BFFs. RAINBOWS FOR ALL. This is actually two days’ illutweets smushed into one.

5 - Really have no idea on this one, the background just… made it into this weird thing? This and the one above are both postcard size*, so they’re still pretty rough since the normal ones are just trading card size. I’m looking forward to finishing them and having some neat prints, tho. :>

*LIES AND SLANDER. Not really, J.L. agreed with the idea of making it tabloid size. Pardon me while I disappear into detail-never-neverland for a while.

I’m doing sketchvember, although the Rajshri pic was made on Halloween. (I’m open to suggestions if anyone wants to throw some at me!)

I wanted to give a big giant “Thank You! ♥” to everyone who stopped by lastlabyrinth’s and my table at FANdom and commented on our work, chatted for a bit, and/or bought things! It was a lot of fun on top of being our first time in the AA, and I’d like to try another con when I’m able. My only regrets were I was pretty brain dead despite appearances and I didn’t get to poke around at what my fellow artists had up. Next time! >8D It was a lot of fun talking with friends I haven’t seen in years and hopefully talking with new ones. :)

I realized towards the end of inking this that I need to make some kind of generic body template and map out all of the tattoos for order members like Tsune so I can keep those things consistent. It’s going to have to wait for the madness of NaNoWriMo fever.

I’m not dead, but I am rather busy right now? Most of it involves getting stuff ready for FAN:dom with lastlabyrinth and a gallery that will start carrying my work, both occurring in October. What a month it’ll be! 

I decided I no longer have any excuses, so the illutweets are back. Anyway, time for world-building info that can’t fit in 140 characters. :]

1 - Rajshri has only one supernatural ability in a story teeming with magical things. She can see through illusions. While advantageous, she gets the ability sealed early on, because the little use she gets from it is outweighed by not knowing if she’s imagining things from being overworked or not.

2 - Tsuneshirou in his pre-FOPA days. He used less magic due to a childhood incident and relied more on weapons when he went on hunts during this time.

A random fact about the kouma of Rashun is they can generate lightning after death. This can be very dangerous after fighting and slaying one, for they have on occasion exploded from stored electricity. Tsune apparently likes high-risk jobs!

3 - Utashiro being fancy and ‘porting somewhere pretty. I guess my youth spent devouring X-men comics is showing up in the obviously Kitty Pride-esque fade in/out look.

1 - Narantya being Narantya, which means she must be holding a spear.

2 - Rajshri taking a stroll at an untimely hour. She’s probably about to be attacked by a dodo brigade.

3 - Quasi-effort in an illutweet? Say it ain’t so. This image is a bit of a spoiler to the story in my head that maybe one person kinda knows about, so let’s just pretend Tsune forgets to go get haircuts for … years.

Some ACEO wips still lying around. I messed up the one of Gan-ril in the top left, though, so that’s residing in some garbage truck’s bowels. :D

Dear Sketch,

Please surface in the den of chaos that is my room, because I would like to ink dodos in bowler hats at some point in my life. Speaking of which, it’s time to get some more dodo references so I can fix the ones here (I kinda totally bs’ed ‘em).

For this Wednesday, scans of ATCs/ACEOs I’m working on. Please ignore Tsune and his, um, colour palette (despite being the first bit of characterization ever written about him, I realize I need to work on colouring more).

Neat thing I learned: The lineart in gold watercolour on Tsune’s card acted as a resist when I coloured over it with Copics.
